Excellence programs. Courses are run on an as needed basis when a minimum
of five candidates register with the AOQ office. Register

Certified Quality
Engineer
The Certified Quality
Engineer is a professional who understands the principles of product and
service and quality control. This Body of Knowledge and applied technologies
include, but are not limited to, development and operation of quality control
system, application and analysis of testing and inspection procedures, the
ability to use metrology and statistical methods to diagnose and correct
improper quality control practices, an understanding of the human factors and
motivation, facility with quality cost concepts and techniques, and the
knowledge and ability to develop and administer management information systems
and to audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
Certified Quality Engineer
Certified Quality Technician
The Certified Quality Technician is a paraprofessional who, in support of
and under the direction of quality engineers or supervisors, analysis and solves
quality problems, prepares inspection plans and instructions, selects sampling
plan applications, prepares procedures, trains inspectors, performs audits,
analyse quality costs and other quality data, and applies fundamental
statistical methods for process control.

Quality/Organisational Excellence
The Certified Manager of Quality /Organisational
Excellence is designed to provide the knowledge necessary for individuals who
are involved in managing quality and dedicated to organisational excellence in
order to obtain and maintain improvement. Individuals may seek certification
from the American Society for Quality. Eligibility you must have 10 years of
on-the-job experience in one or more of the areas of the Certified Manager of
Quality/ Organisational Excellence Body of Knowledge. A minimum of five years of
this experience must be in a decision-making position, defined as the authority
to define, execute or control projects/processes and to be responsible for the
outcome. This may or may not include management or supervisory positions. These
certifications provide professional peer group recognition both nationally and
internationally.
